Soooo Atlanta, we made it through the Superbowl! How did you celebrate? Did y’all brave the stadium or attend a watch party? We spent the evening with another couple and had a blast! Boston butt, air fried veggies, turkey chili dip, games, and lots of laughs.
I’m so excited to be sharing my first of many restaurant reviews! Trying new restaurants and different types of food is something I absolutely love. It may be the one thing that I get asked about the most. “Where should we go eat for date night, when my parents are in town, when we have something special to celebrate?” You name it, I’ve been asked.
Whether it’s eating out, meeting a new chef, or tasting the flavors in a new dish come together, it all makes me so happy. There’s also something magic about sitting around the table and sharing a meal with the people you love. The conversation is just better when you go out, don’t you think?
Well let’s get right to it! I was lucky enough to be invited to the grand opening of Fudo and immediately knew I had to return. The sushi was so fresh, the presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere so inviting, and the wait staff was top notch.
I returned a couple of weeks later with my friend Anna of AnnaFeasts and our husbands (both named Michael)! As soon as we were handed the menu we looked up at one another and said, “How are we going to choose what to order?” Turns out, none of us were picky and we all loved sushi, so we let the chef surprise us! I highly recommend doing that. You won’t regret it! We weren’t sure how the staff would take it, but they exceeded our expectations.
Our waitress brought out each dish, one by one, explaining every detail. We even got to try several off the menu items. Before ordering, make sure and ask about their specials. Each dish was more creative than the last. Our surprise menu included veggies bursting with flavor, bluefin bites, the most beautiful salmon ceviche, Japanese Snapper Nigiri, teriyaki chicken bowl, two delicious sushi rolls, and finally sushi dessert sweetened with fresh peaches! It was a foodie’s heaven. If you’re asking me to choose my favorite, it would have to be the Salmon ceviche! Along with most of the other dishes it was so light and full of flavor! Served in a glass bowl, it made for the most exquisite presentation!
Simple Tips:
The chef and bartenders are extremely talented. Tell them what you don’t like and leave the rest to them! I promise you won’t regret it. Anna agrees!
